Established by Drs. Michael Jozefczyk and Michael Mazur, we are the only independent, general diagnostic pathology laboratory in upstate New York. Drs. Jozefczyk, Mazur, and Kenneth Strumpf provide the diagnostic expertise to this section.
With many years of experience between them, our pathologists offer significant expertise to the oversight of diagnostic cases including specimens from all tissue sites. You can be assured that they are on-site to respond to any concerns or questions.
The laboratory provides tissue diagnostics including immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization (FISH). Our lab also offers frozen section analysis. Photographs to supplement the diagnostic report are available on selected reports or if requested.
In addition to diagnostic expertise, the ClearPath histology operation is dedicated to providing the best quality service for handling and diagnosing tissue specimens. The ClearPath laboratory is staffed by highly experienced technologists who are registered and licensed by New York State. From the time a specimen is picked up by our couriers, every case is carefully tracked and individually processed, ensuring proper identification throughout processing and interpretation.
ClearPath Diagnostics uses only the highest quality equipment to assist in the preparation of specimens, and strict quality assurance mechanisms are in place to maintain a consistent level of precision. We strongly believe that accurate diagnoses require a team effort and the highest standards throughout the laboratory.
